Help! I already have a mortgage with Halifax fianc! sold his property we want to buy another house for 165k. I am in process of selling mine for 87. He had 60k from his sale. We have an AiP from the halifax. Stupidly I had a number of wonga loans last year and although they are settled. Would this have be picked up in initial AIP check????
If this fails fiance will try and apply on his own. In such a state please advise

Wonga is a lender of last resort. So what else does your credit file contain?0

Only 2 late mortgage payments in 10 years and 1 default0

First we went thro estate agent broker who was about as much help as a chocolate fire guard then I applied direct as wasn't getting anywhere with broker. Do I need to go through an IFA. Or wait till I get a decision from underwriters? Or should my fiance approach his own lenders??? I'm so confused0

Do I need to go through an IFA.
Most IFAs are not mortgage brokers. Although many will employ mortgage brokers or have a local referral point.
An estate agent broker is the worst place to go. Awful reputation (apart from small independents who use local advisory firms)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
