Nightmare for Nats as Salmond booed by Scottish Patriots

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/scottish-independence/10946012/Alex-Salmond-booed-during-naming-of-HMS-Queen-Elizabeth.html
Alex Salmond has reportedly been booed while attending a ceremony naming Britain's new aircraft carrier, the HMS Queen Elizabeth.
The First Minister was mildly heckled by some members of the crowd at the Rosyth dockyard, Fife, according to various journalists.
Mr Salmond was there to see the Queen formally name the UK's largest warship by smashing a bottle of Bowmore whisky on the ship's hull.

"Yes, but they'll come round when they hear about the SNP's plan to build the SS Sturgeon which will be the keystone of Scotland's navy after we've spent every other available groat on paying off the people who voted for us..."

SS Sturgeon, containing her skiff the 'Wee 'Eck'.

Its good to know most Scots dont want to turn their back on being a progressive part of a country they helped to shape, due to parochial nationalism and backwards drawbridge raising prejudice.

Newspaper which doesn't like Alec Salmond writes a story to confirm the fact. The word 'reportedly' is the giveaway.

The oldest rhetorical trick in the world is to dismiss a story on the grounds that the source is somehow biased.

I don't really see how the use of the word 'reportedly' gives away the fact that the Telegraph doesn't like Alec Salmond.

From what I can see of the polling, it's only really SNP voters in Scotland that have any interest in going it alone. About 1/3rd of Labour voters and a vanishingly small number of Tories and Lib Dems are likely to vote YES!

You live quite far away from the action though. And polls...while I personally find them quite interesting myself ( in terms of methodology etc )...aren't always correct. All the polling companies are showing wildy varying results. From 'no chance' to 'within a few points'...

Exciting stuff ! No's shouldn't let the polls lead to complacency though. Especially if the weather is bad 18th sept :-) The size of the last SNP victory was, well, unexpected ( ie the polls got it wrong ). And the last two refs on devolution/home rule were both majorities or very close ( 1979 ). So you may be underestimating the strength of feeling a bit. Scots havent in recent history voted in any way decisively FOR Westminster when presented with any question related to it. Nothing to do with polls..just plain fact.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

All the polling companies say you are going to get a thrashing come polling day.
