Hi all,
I've just ordered some Leichner Camera Clear foundation from Amazon, but getting hold of the Porcelain one seems a bit hitty-missy.
Any ideas where I can buy this from on a regular basis? My Google-fu seems to be failing me...
TIA

I got mine from a cheap cosmetics franchise around my area, cost me about £4 and got it in porcelain. Have you tried ebay?
Personally, I hate the foundation. Its so sticky and shiny, when you put powder over the top, it just makes you look blotchy because the foundation sticks to it rather than smoothing onto it.0 -
Ooh might have a look around the little shops then.
It does seem to be very much a Marmite product - nobody ever says "meh, it's okay", it's always the best thing since sliced bread or straight in the bin
I love it, but probably for two reasons - my skin seems to like it, and I quite like theatrical makeup

Have you tried stage make-up places? There used to be a place in Convent Garden that also had a website that sold loads of their stuff but I cant for the life of me remember the name of it0 -
Thank you
I actually ordered their Blending Powder as well, the pot is HUGE, wasn't expecting that! It's really nice for me but wouldn't say it's for everyone - two of the ingredients are talc and kaolin!
Definitely the best powder to use over the CC foundation though.

Leichner is a stage/TV makeup brand, that's why it says 'Camera Clear'.
It's designed to stay put under hot lights for hours, not be worn as a day look and also to be removed really thoroughly. Sleep in it a few times and take it from me, it will clog pores.
The shop in Covent Garden you are thinking of is Charles H Fox but it only does Kryolan (another theatrical brand).0 -
I used this when I was younger, used to get it in one of our local shops that sold bags, scarves and discounted makeup etc. I also think you can get it in local chemists ie not chain chemists.0

I just wear tinted moisturiser for day wear, this is definitely a night-out base
Aqueous cream takes it off pretty well. Used to dance on stage, tried about a million different removers and always went back to bog-standard cream!

I chat with a couple of really well known drag queens online and neither of them use Leichner or Kryolan, I was surprised. One swears by MAC the other Lancome. They both admit to having spent loadsa money before settling on right products for them.0

MAC and Lancôme are far too expensive for the likes of me, haha! Though I do have some MAC pigment powder I use for cheer comps.
Would have definitely thought drag queens would use a theatrical brand though...I've learned something today
