I think I am probably the same as you kate-fixing-it, its probably the thought of being able to do stuff IF I wanted to, as opposed to actually doing it.
Can't wait either way, just to have the bank balance looking healthy in the black and not having to worry!!1st Jan 2014 £20,600 / 1st Jan 2015 £15,572.90**Feeling Hopeful that 2015 will be our Debt Free Year**0 -
1. Not being scared every time an appliance makes a wierd noise
2. Staring at my bank balance in admiration
3. Being able to build up a financial cushion for adventures or disasters!
4. Peace of mind!
5. Massages every now and then - or other treats of that kind
Funnily enough, now I'm thinking about it, there isn't really that much. Just not being in debt will be reward itself for a while I think!Debt at highest - June 2013 - 26k/ March 2018 - 2500
Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Ha ha, I like the "financial cushion for adverntures or disasters" Karen, I think that sounds good! :j1st Jan 2014 £20,600 / 1st Jan 2015 £15,572.90**Feeling Hopeful that 2015 will be our Debt Free Year**0

My wish list is:
1. Give up my part time job (which I hate!) and just focus on running my business (which is currently done at all hours of the night!)
2. Not worry about bills anymore
3. Save 2/3 of what I spend on debt repayment every month0 -
Hmmm... Good question

1. Save
2. A holiday, not just time off doing nothing at home but a holiday somewhere nice.
3. Probably learn to drive

Recently became debt free and the thing I am now starting to enjoy most is the feeling of being able to save! Not spending money on loads of stuff (which is what got me in trouble in the first place) but knowing I can (and have) set up a standing order to put a few hundred quid away every month - some into a savings account, and some into a cash ISA).
Looking forward to watching it build up.
I'm very lucky in that I am now mortage free, and my wife who earns a LOT more than me, pays the majority of the bills - council tax, electricity, water, whilst I pay for tv licence and virgin media.
Worked out that leaves me around £800 per month for food and, well, saving!
It was all disappearing on debt before so it is an amazing feeling.0
