  • Yes for non compliance with the cca request. If no reply is recieved by the 12th day it is a civil offence and then if no reply is recieved after 30 days it becomes criminal.

BailiffChaser, just wondering if you could give us a quick run down of getting these people to court as I'm about to do the same. What was the process? Did you use a solicitor and what's the approx. cost? I'm having some fun with a right bunch of chancers so I'm going to follow this with interest.
  • Hi, I am hugely interested to read about CF, I am having bad trouble with them. I have a small loan with them for some furniture and they simply will not take the funds from my bank, even the manager from my bank has spent an hour with them on the phone and they still will not collect the payments. they simply keep on sending late payment notices with a £25 fine attached every month, they have sent a debt collection agency after me. I have filled in a complaint with the FSA but they still keep on doing the same thing........................HELP!!!
  • Just won my battle with CF, it took nearly a year with the help of the FOS but WE WON! CF claimed I had recalled payments and refused to pay, after a long battle they admitted a "system error" gave me back lots of £25 late payment fees, wiped my credit file apologised and gave me £150 sorry money. A word of warning to anyone who takes on CF make absolutely sure you have ALL documents and records and they are right and correct as CF attempted to lie their way out of trouble and the FOS nearly dropped the case, however all credit to barclays bank who have very good records and showed CF to be dishonest :T
