Hi
I intend to use some of my inheritance to reduce my mortgage which is currently on interest only. Once I have done this is am looking to negotiate a better deal with my current provider on a repayment basis as I will be looking at 65 - 70% LTV. However I am 57 and wonder if they will only consider giving me a mortgage to retirement age of 66 or if I will be able to look at a longer term than 9yrs. My profession allows me to work beyond retirement age both in an employed and self-employed capacity and I will have additional income from pensions and investment as well. Can anyone advise?
