Are there any comps you don't enter?

I don't enter foreign holidays (usually only for 2 people and none of us have current passports at moment)
I don't enter any of the myoffers, win4me type sites
I don't enter for family holidays that are in school time (which is just about every family holiday on offer:rolleyes: )
I don't enter for tickets/short breaks that are further than 70 miles away unless I know someone who could use them (or I can persuade someone to have the kids so we can go). Even then it depends whether a travel allowance is included:o
I didn't use to enter spa breaks (my personal idea of hell - shortly followed by ski/adventure holidays) until I realised that a lot of them gave the prizes in the form of vouchers (which I can donate to the school raffle:T )
However, vouchers, beauty stuff, electricals, books, cds, dvds - bring 'em on

Edited to add: however, sometimes I will enter a competition where I don't want the first prize, but would rather have one of the runners-up prizes (I figure the odds are that I'm more likely to win one of 10 goody bags than the main prize);)old enough to know better, young enough not to care;)0 -
I never miss a Julien MacDonald comp
I only enter for things I would like or I know friends/ family want. I do put some things in a pressie box.
I have only once sold a prize. It was a child's games console and I had no need of it. It was a runner's up prize in a trip to Disney comp and I was after the trip.0 -
I only enter for things we, or family would be able to use.
I have killed myself laughing at all your replies of what you wouldnt like to win, with your wet towels wrapped around you, and bungee jumping!
I knew Prudent wouldnt miss a Julien Macdonald comp:T, and as for Jethro Tull who's he?...:o

EXCELLENT!!! This really made me laugh out loud BS!:T0 -
I only enter for things I'd like for myself of dh, or things I think I could easily sell.
So no books, cd's or dvd's that I wouldn't read/hear/watch, frankly they'd end up in the charity shop, so no point.
A few days ago I was wondering about entering a comp for a king size bed, it wouldn't fit in my tiny flat and don't know of anyone who'd like it, and i don't think that would be easy to sell, so I didn't.
I was desperate to win some VIP tickets for the Tour de France as we were going anyway, and me and dh are mad about cycling, sadly luck was not on my side... snif! But I'm hoping for some good comps for the NFL! (fingers crossed)0 -
I don't bother with the gig tickets - they're usually too far away. Or any holidays (such as cruises, Caribbean etc) where it would be too expensive to pay extra for our younger kids to come too.
Also don't bother with makeovers...I'm nice enough as I am, thanks!0 -
I only enter comps for things that my family need or want or like.I never enter ticket comps unless I am certain I can go and things like books only if I want the book,cd,dvd etc... and I only enter holiday comps if it is for two or you can take children up to 16 with you holiday comps also must have flights travel etc...included.I think basically if I or one of my family can't use it or don't want it then I don't enter.:D
and like one of the earlier posters things like bungee jumps  although my son would love that sort of thing.I still don't enter in case they want to make me take the prize:o0 -
I used to go for everything out of desperation to win
But now I tend to go for the holidays, cash, vouchers, electrical stuff which is better than the stuff that I've already got. I did go for DVD's .... for the husband but he complained that I spent too much time ontinternet so I thought b***** him, plus he can download or afford to buy that sort of stuff anyway - although it's nice to get stuff for free. I just go for what I fancy really

I used to enter everything then thought what would i do with it...if i won a holiday for 2 i could pass them on to my parents but theres no guarentee that they could go so tend to skip them...anything formula one or kids related are entered straight away and the grand prix tickets really paid off.£2008 for 2008 member No.4140

I enter for almost everything apart from really rubbishy things I don't need or things like concerts I don't like or know I cannot go to! I don't have kids so enter almost all holiday comps, enter all car ones because I have an old banger so a new car would be fab, but basically as I've just graduated uni I am really skint, so anything I win from comps either I keep if I love, use to give as presents (very mse) or sell to help get me out of debt!
I don't do any of those myoffers comps or others that seem a bit dodgy though.0
