Selling clothes quickly and easily?

Hey,

I have a load of clothes I need to sell from a deceased relative, she was a very small women who by all accounts had a great taste in clothes.

Now my uncle seems hell bent on just giving them away to a charity shop but having gone through them I'm seeing names like Emporio Armani, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Max Mara and tons of other designers who are apparently outfitting celebrities and royalty.

Even some mob called Brora I thought were just some random clothing manufacturer until I looked them up and noticed the cheapest stuff they sell is like £50 and all the stuff I have in this pile is cashmere which they sell for stupid money.

I know the typical response is eBay but frankly it seems like a ton of hassle and from what I've seen people don't seem to want to spend over £5.

Really I'm just looking for the most money for the least hassle, I know nothing about fashion let alone womens fashion, so if there's the equivalent of the second hand record shop for clothes somewhere in London I'd love to know about it.

I reckon a dress agency might be an idea. They take a commision and you get the rest alot work on a 50/50 basis. Ebay can be problematic if you have more than 2 or 3 designer named items as there security is wary of fakes and scammers. They can do silly things like long holds on the money.

I would second that - find a dress agency and share the profits. It should be possible to turn some up on a web search.

Thanks, never imagined selling a few clothes would be such a hassle.

I am finding an orphan or poor family so I could donate my clothes to them.

How about trying Pandora's dress agency? They're in Knightsbridge and take a lot of designer gear. They are well located for their potential customers as well.
