Good substitute for Rug Doctor Cleaning Solution

Hello lovelies!
I'm dashing out to physio just now, so wont be back for a little bit... but anyway...
Can anyone recommend a good substitute for the Rug Doctor Cleaning Solutions?
I have a Rug Doctor for a couple of days and I need to blitz everything including our lovely once pale but now dotted with Ribena fall-out rugs, plus stairs, bedroom rugs, teenagers fake tan stained cream carpet and also the family car.
I also know that if my dear Mum realises I am doing the Rug Doctor Rumba, she will be asking me to clean all her stuff as well!
This is the first time I have used a Rug Doctor, so any tips for getting the best out of it would be very welcome.
I must run of now to get squeezed in to shape for my cleaning marathon :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Linda x

If there's a solution that you were told (and sold) should be used by the supplier I'd strongly suggest you get in some more of it. The seals on the machine will be matched with the chemicals they supply.

There is a bi$$e1 thread on this site somewhere and much of it was devoted to which chemicals could be used as a substitute for the ones supplied by bi$$e1. A Rep from the firm came on the thread to say that they had to reject quite a few warranty claims because people had used substitute chemicals and those chemicals ate through the seals and invalidated the warranty - they know what they're looking at when they get the machines back. I'd suspect the same thing is true of rug doctors andif you signed paperwork when you took the machine away, I'd bet the T&C states you'll only use chemcials supplied by them. (It's certainly true of the machine I hired from H$$ and their machines and chemcials were cheaper than rug d0ct0rs.)

    Sorry if that's a downer.
    Better is good enough.
