Rotary Airer Question

Not sure this is the right forum but I know all you o/ser's are good with stuff like this.

I have a predicament at the moment, I can't currently use the tumble dryer. Basically I do have an old rotary airer but no ground spike in our new house. I do however have a parasol base and table, do you think it would work if I put the airer through the table (maybe with some stuff on the surface to counterbalance it although it's fairly heavy) and into the base?

I'm currently six months pregnant so can't even contemplate going out and getting a screw in ground spike let alone cementing the ruddy thing in, but with a toddler and a rather ill DH I can't not do washing.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!!!

It might work, just be careful to balance the washing as you put it out.. . I do know using just the base didn't work for me. Lol but through a table it might .. I would hang things on hangers then hang in open windows or anywhere they get a breeze as well.

    Hope that helps x CC

Is there anyone who could put the spike in for you and maybe return the favour at another time?

How about filling a planter with rocks, soil or sand? Basically anything heavy that you can find! Then put it through the table and add other weights as suggested.
Meanwhile I find the top of the stairs a great drying area. Anything that will go on hangers can be hung on an airer, which doesn't take up a lot of space and could maybe be stood outside?
Windows open throughout the house help air flow.
    Good luck :)
