Yes. You're likely to be sacked in your last day, and failure to turn up either means you're sacked without attending the meeting, or you left pending a investigatory meeting for gross misconduct.

I honestly don't think anyone on here can help you. You need to get better legal advice - your solicitor sounds rubbish. You need to speak to someone who knows about education employment and who knows the process and what the implications might.
