Claim form rcvd. Can I argue interest?

Hi
I have received a claim form today relating to Skycard/Barclaycard debt.
A little history... In 2008 I started a DMP to repay all my debts. All of the cards, except Skycard, kindly froze interest whilst I was paying regular monthly payments. Unfortunately, at the end of 2012, just five months before I would have been completely debt free, my partner lost his job and I had to write to all my creditors and tell them I could no longer afford to continue paying.
I have receive a County Court claim form today relating to the Skycard debt (now Barclaycard) and they are trying to claim £2139 from me. Only £460 actually relates to my original debt, all the rest is interest the Skycard continued to charge me.
Can I argue the difference? I know card companies don't have to freeze interest but all the others did!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Incidently, my partner now has a permanent job and we were just about to start paying them all again.

Afraid what your other creditors did with regard to freezing interest has no impact on the Skycard.

If the interest was contractually due, you don't have a defence against it in the court claim - from what you have said.

They will also be able to claim interest on the judgement debt at 8%, which will probably be pleaded on the claim form?

    Sorry.

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
