Your employer doesn't have to comply with your GP's instructions.guidance, they take it under advisement. In the situation you have found yourself in, you need to remember it's not just you in the equation, it's you, your employer and other employees, your employer also has a duty of care towards your colleagues and has to take them as well as you and the business into consideration when making resonable adjustments for you.
Try not to focus on where they have placed you as this will become a bigger issue for you than is needs to be. They have moved you and it's now down to you to show them you can be productive and worth the money they pay you each month.
  • If you have a job involving phones bounce, have you considered resorting to wearing a headset? it allows you to have 'your own zone' and when people see you wearing it they might be less likely to approach you or keep talking at you as they can't work out if you are on a call, there was me thinking most employers should have the mantra your paid to work, it was the one time I didn't quibble when management came and told us to get the headsets on as it soon stopped our gossips or make yourself so busy to think, that also can help the depression and makes time fly as I can remember sitting in some stuffy sifelling environments in the past and job quietness was always to blame leading to internet evills.. well that is my reasoning :p
