To what purpose ? Do you mean when claiming JSA ?
  • As long as you can prove that you are looking for work you don't have to.

You do not have to use UJ for your job search.

You can click apply and it should show up that you have applied except when it goes to an outside website. You can add to your activity history what you have done, my advisor said rather than write it all in book write It on the activity history. There's a tab on the top bit. I have put that I have looked at outside job sites and applied for stuff. If there's a job you looked at on jobmatch and doesn't fit you you can use drop down menu to select closest reason why. Some jobs show up that have been on other witness and you click I have applied. It doesn't show up on application history though,

Be very very careful with the Drop down menu for why you have not applied for a particular job, They can and will use this to sanction people.

sorry, forgot to mention I am on JSA.

Just wondered if physical proof needed of jobs I apply for, or searches made etc- full name of staff I talk to in shops etc?

UJM sign up failed at jobcentre, anyway- their pc's went down, so I'm going to carry on with written diary..

the regular signing clerks have OK'd all my entries so far, so they cant suddenly say I'm not doing enough!

NB: NO access ticked, for the D dooble you Pee !

Only if the advisor says you need more detail. When writing in the diary it does ask for employer name and address so you could add a staff name if you have one rather than just the company name.

lol yeah they can. Doesn't mean you can't appeal any sanction for it. You should win if you do. Doesn't stop them saying that and trying though if they wish and many will. Just be sure to keep all evidence of what you've done and they've OK'd.

I used to just write in the Booklet. Job Applied For: Company/Agency: Date. If you write down every time you do a job search you would be carrying a dossier there every week.

    Administrator. - 30/06 - Company A: manager"at" companya"dot"com.

As long as I did my fifteen jobs a week all was fine.

Last week I was told I didnt need to use the paperised book as if it was easier to use the Online UJ then to put all my activity on there in the Activity Jobsearch section - it works well for me, I did get her to put this on my notes as the Work coach did say to use the paperised one to "Plan" my jobsearch...?

Does the word GULLIBLE come to mind.

Do not give access to ujm no matter what they say.

If you do use ujm or any other online sites just take a screenshot of jobs applied for and send it to a created email set up just for jobs. You can then give the email address to the adviser for checking.

Why give them an excuse to sanction you for not applying for a particular job on ujm.
