advice for credit card company harrassment

Hi,
already with CCCS for debt management slowly getting on top, also waiting to start a second job to increase payments. My problem is that I have a number of accounts with MBNA (some passed to them by Bank of Scotland), amounts have been negotiated but they send frequent letters to which I have replied and spoken to on telephone. They still keep sending me letters advising that unless I increase payments these will be passed to debt collectors which they say will make my circumstances worse.
I am at my wits end as this is causing me more worry, can any one offer advice as to how to stop the hassle? I have a colleague who also found MBNA very persistant, its getting to point where I avoid answering telephone if I don't recognise caller.

    First thing I would do is write to them informing them that you consider there amount of telephone calls to be harrassment which the goes against what the financial ombudsman lay down as fair ways of chasing debt. From now on you wish only to be contacted by post otherwise you will take a complaint up with the financial ombudsman.

    Tell them again what the offer is and why and that you are not in a position to raise your offers of payments, point out others have accepted there payments and frozen interest and charges.

    Also on a different note I personally have found - and I do my own DMP so see every bit of correspondance - that DCA on the whole are easier to deal with and kind of know that accepting payments is the easier way, sometimes they offer you to pay off a lump sum - I point out I am in genuine financial difficulties and its not possible. Also again the old ombudsman recognaise that companies should not demand more than you can afford to pay.

    With these companies you have to give them a taste of there own medicine and be firm with them.
