Halifax credit card (Moorcroft), Satisfied?

Hello, I had a credit card account with the Halifax started in 08.01.2007 and defaulted on 09.06.2011 when I fell into financial difficulty. Since then different collecters have been collecting £5 each month the latest being Moorcroft. However in Feburary this year the account moved to closed accounts and is marked as 'satisfied' on my Noddle credit report with a closing balance of £1702 which is unpaid. No new account has appeared and I have recieved no letter from anyone claiming to have brought my debt for the past 4 months.
I have an automated payment on this account and have continued to pay Moorcroft £5 per month.
I'm not sure what to do now, do I ring Moorcroft and cancel the payments and take it that the debt is no more?
Any advice would be greatly recieved.

Thanks.
I've contacted Halifax they've said that Cabot are in control of the debt, however they claim that Moorcorft are still forwarding payments.
I contacted Moorcroft who confirmed payments have been forwarded and informed me that they were unaware of any change to the account ownership and will investigate and get back to me.LBM = 25/10/2012 Debt 13,858.75

Stop paying MoorCrap and wait for the next fleecing DCA to come along.0

Cancel the payment, see who writes.
When they do, send them a CCA request to see if they have the original agreement.
If not, that's in your favour as no CCJ if defended, should they ever be stupid enough to try court.
Moorcroft and Cabot are the same company I think. Would need to check one of my many letters to be sure.:beer:0
