Hi everyone, i am new to this so sorry if i have got this wrong but I need some advice .......
My son got given a new work contract he signed 2 copies it and passed it back to signed by whoever higher up, he has recieved his copy back and has noticed he has a higher rate of pay on the contract than he has been paid on his monthly work pay packet - do the company have to honor the contract ?

Not if this is a genuine error.
The original rate may be incorrect!Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -

How long has he been there? Could it be a pay rise? If the new rate is not on his next payslip, then I'd be asking HR why not.0

its a new job, I have told him to query it today and let me know ?0

Sometimes differences can be due to the way things are calculated if we're talking about hourly rates. One rate may include lunch breaks, the other not etc. The final pay packet is the same.
Bear in mind that an employer can get shot of you very easily in the first two years of employment. If I were an employer and a brand new employee tried to get more money out of me because of an admin error I would be seriously unimpressed.0
