Here's some links for you:

You get a 45 day trial if you buy direct. I'm going to go back to this now I'm no longer on Lymecycline.
http://www.clarisonic.co.uk/services/general-conditions-of-sale#TC_Clarisonic90DayMoneyBackGuarantee
You get a 90 day money back return if it doesn't suit. I don't find it too abrasive, you get special brush heads for acne skin. The brush heads you can pick up fairly cheaply on Amazon.
Both of these devices are expensive, no doubt about it, but the fact they give you so long to try them reassured me. And I have had success with them.

A great review and demo of the Garnier BB cream, it's the one I keep going back to! (and believe me I've tried the lot!) Skip to 5.00 to see the transformation.0 -
Thanks all!
ThriftyShelly - I hate those spots with their own pulse - I swear mine could be seen from space!!! And I still can't find a concealer that covers them. No matter what I have tried, it just looks like I haven't even bothered!!
Thanks for the link HappyDays...with the clarisonic, which heads are the acne ones please? And I am confused at the difference between them all - which is the best to go for? And also, which cleansers etc do you use?? Sorry for all the q's!0 -
The cheapest one!

I also bought the deep pore cleansing brushes (from Amazon), although to be honest I've not noticed much of a difference between these and the sensitive ones.
I used the little trial sized one, now I'm currently using a natural one (Lavera cleansing gel), but really I think you can use any gel cleanser (people in the comments section talk about something called 'Cetaphil'?)0 -
How long have you had your Clarisonic, HappyDays? I notice a lot of reviews to suggest that they don't seem to last much longer than a year?0

I love the Premae Balance Rescue and Harmony products, they worked for me and have stopped me feeling so greasy and limited the breakouts I do get.0

I fixed my oily spotty red skin by doing the following:-
To take acne down - Freederm gel, I ignored the instructions and applied a thick layer two times a day until my skin was clear, about 2/3 weeks, I then use it once or twice a week to maintain.
To calm Roseaca - Preperation H cream (I know!) takes the swelling redness and any bumps down overnight.
Mosituriser - anything by Eucerin or if you are on a budget Boots essentials in the blue and white packaging, I also use the Boots essentials Cleanser and toner
Primer - L'occitane brightening serum, make up goes on smoothly and no oil comes through, at all, amazing stuff.
Foundation - I do rotate but my all time favourite is Estee Lauder Double Wear it covers everything beautifully and lasts all day and maybe all night too, may not be so good if you have dry patches, if you do I would either mix the dw with some moisturiser or you could try MAC full coverage foundation (Pro version)0 -
I am 30 and have finally got my cystic acne under control by using Carley's clear and smooth, long term antibiotics, neutrogena oil free moisturiser and garnier bb cream! I get the odd spot but nothing like the cysts I used to get - absolute agony!Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0

I take Metformin for type 2 diabetes but I know that it's also used to treat PCOS and gets rid of the hair problem. Have you tried it ?
PCOS is linked to diabetes in some research studies so it might be worth looking at your diet first and cutting down on sugar, processed food and carbs generally.
High blood glucose levels = high insulin levels = body holds on to fat
Water to flush through toxins and keep you and skin hydrated. Plenty of fresh veg.
Using hypoallergenic stuff to minimise irritation.
Perfectil for skin and nails is really good, takes about 3 months to work though. Tried the Boots version but not as good.
Sunshine (with organic sunscreen)0 -
Got my Clarisonic January 2013, still going strong after twice a day use, no problems. The texture of my skin has definitely improved!
I'm a Freederm believer too, I use the Freederm gel that you buy over the counter at Boots.
Going to try with Perfectil again I think too0 -
Ooh glad to hear so many stories - although wouldn't wish the acne on anyone.
I have been on metformin before but my gp said they're not supposed to prescribe it for PCOS anymore. To be fair though, when. I did take it, it didn't do much and it exacerbated my IBS so. I stopped taking it.
When I have taken antibiotics for my acne, that has had a bad effect on my tum too!
I rejoined Slimming World 2 weeks ago and have lost 5.5 lbs so that's good. I was a bit dubious because I know SW advocate low calorie sweeteners and low fat which I am not a fan of. I have found a happy medium though. I have the odd fat free yog as a filler but am generally sticking to fresh fruit and veg (the ones I can tolerate) and lean meat and fish with the odd potato. Don't really have bread or pasta but will now and again.
Think I am gonna order the clarisonic. The 90 day guarantee makes it worth a go...at least I know if I don't have success, it won't be an expensive mistake. I've read the t&c's of the guarantee and can't see any catches as long as you follow their instructions.
I haven't tried freederm recently but think i did years ago. I currently use Duac but it seems to have lost its effectiveness. I also use cetaphil lotion on a night. I ordered some testers of the decleor ylang ylang stuff and went to asda for some garnier bb (it was £7.50 instead of £10) but they only had the normal one and not the oily/combination :-(.0
