  • Pay off your overdraft and treat yourself with the rest. Half and half. And how nice to have one less debt :-)
    July 2015 - £7800 to pay off
  • Thanks so much for all of the replies, you have all really helped.

I have decided to spend £30 on an immediate treat (i actually got 2 cookery books so that I can cook some nice new things without going out for a meal and a furniture upcycling book so I can refurbish old furniture without needing to buy new)

I'm then going to keep £20 for a future treat and split the rest over debt and emergency fund.

That way I feel like I'm getting a bit of everything in : )

I think I was feeling a bit guilty to be spending any money on myself after getting myself into debt but from speaking to you guys I think it is all about balance. Yes pretty much all of my personal disposable income from my wages should be paying off the debt but it doesnt mean that we don't deserve a little treat now and again. : )
