Pounds to Pocket

I took a loan out with Pounds to Pocket 2 years ago and they never requested the payments from my debit card and still continue not to request my payments. They are now trying to contact me to which I have not yet responded. Where do I stand with this as they were at fault for not requesting my payments? My card details have not chan ged and there is no reason why the payment wouldnt have been made. I have checked with my bank and no payment requests have been made. They have now given my details to another debt collector number 0800 163 1111 to which has had bad reviews on the website.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Am I right in saying you don't want to pay what you owe?

When you say they are now trying to contact you, have they written to you yet or have you just got calls?

Obviously you still owe the money and that will need to be repaid.

In terms of whether the balance will have risen since the date you were due to repay is something you would need to discuss with them and possibly challenge them over.
And in terms of any markers on your credit file, that may be something they will be willing to negotiate on.

If the pdl company are a member of the CFA then they shouldn't charge you more than 60 days interest anyway.

That's not quite right. You are responsible for making the payments, but if you've given them all of the right information, then you've reason to be a bit annoyed if they then don't.

At that point, though, the right thing is to contact them to find out what has gone wrong. Have they taken your details down wrong, for example.

You will presumably have kept the money available, against the inevitable day when they realised their error, so the right thing to do now is to pay back what you;d agreed.
