Hi everyone,
I moved from Scotland to England when I got engaged in a long distance, whirlwind romance. Was fed up with my job up there and managed to rent out my flat to some friends. I got a job down here.
Predictably, the relationship didn't survive real life for more than a year and I've moved into a rented room here to finish the work contract. But my question is what now? Do I stay here because the work opportunities are probably better (SE England) or go back, live with my parents til I get a job back home and then move back into my own flat? Or do I jack it all in and go travelling. I'd really like to do a job I don't hate (or even one I love!). I trust the tenants in my flat so in some ways this is the best opportunity I have - once I boot them out, I'll be loathe to rent it out again to people I don't know.
Should say I'm now hating the work contract and renting a room is the pits!
Any thoughts are most welcome!
Good luck to everyone else!:)
Thanks!!

What would you like to do ?
If you stay in SE for work could you rent out the flat to people you know ?0 -
Hi '79, thanks for replying.
the current tenants are happy and likely to stay for years unless I boot them out.
The problem is, I don't know what I want to do!! "I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up!"Credit Card £4350 @ 0% until October 20150 -
Go travelling! I did it five years ago at 30 and it was the best thing I ever did. You might never get an opportunity like this again.
What part of the South-East are you in?0 -
Travelling is a good idea, if you dont go now then you might end up regretting it.0

Hi guys
What was the best bit about travelling for you, Fu-Fu?
I'm in Stevenage which is only 30mins to London Kings Cross by train.Credit Card £4350 @ 0% until October 20150 -
If you can go travelling - that'll give you time to work out what you want to do and you may never get that chance again anyway.
It may also be an option to move elsewhere in the UK - I.e. Look for a job you'd enjoy country-wide? (Maybe after you've been travelling)?0 -
I agree this is your best opportunity for travel and making some decisions for your future. Could you maybe apply to work abroad for a while as well as travelling as you never know what doors might open and if nothing else, travel opens your mind up to so many ideas."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

Ah ok, I am in the South-East too.
Everything was great about travelling! The freedom, the people I met, the things I saw, everything. It is just an amazing life changing experience.0
