Google Adsense & YouTube - Extra Income?

I just thought I'd start this topic to see if anyone here is doing well with their YouTube accounts being linked to a Google Adsense account. It won't make you millions unless your extremely lucky, have a massive subscribers list or your content is over the top viral... but it's a good way to get a few extra bucks in.
I've had my YouTube account since 2007 but I never really used it and only learned in 2013 that linking it up with a Google Adsense account could return some income. Here's the results as of today;
2007 - 2013 = $0
2013 - 2014 (Todays date) = $355.45
For anyone who doesn't know how to basically just Google it, set yourself up a YouTube account and an Adsense account, follow their instructions on how to verify yourself and start uploading content. TIP! Make sure your content is ALL your own, otherwise the revenue from that video will go to whoever the copyright holder is, or worse you could get a copyright strike against your account... 3 strikes and your out basically.
Google pays out every month to you associated bank account, so long as your earnings balance is over £60, anything less will carry over and over until you've enough to be paid out.
I just thought I'd share this as it's not a bad way to earn a little extra, especially if your a bit of a creative, not shy to go on camera yourself or have a good camcorder.
If anyone here is having any success please feel free to share tips, hints and videos (if that's allow with the mods here?)
Good luck!

Interesting post.
I have made a couple of YouTube videos that I then embedded into my own websites, but never thought to try to monetise them directly via YouTube since I wasn't expecting much traffic there.
Are you able to give any more information about how many videos / views you got to earn that amount? Is it a set amount of money per view or is it more complicated than that?
Since my future videos will be designed to get extra traffic to my websites, I am a bit cautious of upsetting viewers with adverts etc.
Thanks for sharing this information.0 -
Ive been posting some "how to" videos on youtube in the last month. Upto just over 250views and have earned just shy of $2.
Need to update my camera to produce a better quality video so I can post more.
Agreed though, you need to do something very unique to early 100,000+0
