I have posted previously but no replies, I feel my questions weren't organised well enough. Additionally apologies if this seems like spamming.
Background
House Price - £201,500 (offer accepted, have got a DIP for £170k from Nationwide which is 2 months old, got it using a broker before the changes I think)
Deposit - £30,225 (15%)
Income A - £35000 + £6000 car allowance (£41000) (4 months into a new job, 6 month probation, position seems very secure)
Income B - £16000 (very early into 6 month contract still waiting for first payslip, position seems secure but early days yet, usually made into permanent after the 1st contract)
Monthly Income Total - £3,700
Monthly Expenditure Total - £2,130 (approximated might have gone high on certain items, can provide detailed if necessary) approx £850 mortgage included)
L&C have suggested Halifax won't have an issue with our probation and contract situation. They will lend us circa £173k with fees all rolled in. (3.24% fixed 2 yrs £999 arrangement fee £295 lender fee)
What I am asking is in your experience, would you suggest that I go with L&C with the Hailfax mortgage? Or shall I go to a local broker because of our employment situation? Local broker charge £150 on application and £400 on completion.
Additionally are Halifax a good choice for us due to our situation?
Thanks for any help you can give, starting to worry about it to be honest.
