Csa help - how is it worked out?

Hi,
Can someone help? My other half owns his own business and gets paid a basic wage plus dividends. His payslip has basic wage plus dividends but his P60 only has his basic wage. How does the CSA work out the weekly payments? do they use the payslips or P60?The CSA helpline said they just use the P60 but surely they need to take into account the dividends or the weekly payment would be too low? confused!

Too low is subjective, considering the older CSA2 cases and 1 child,. then it's 15% net (net is after tax, ni and pension), if a guy is on £200/week then his csa would be £30 week, if a guy is on £600/week then he would contribute £75 week, what doesn't change for both PWCs is the price of nappies shoes or whatever. SO there is little point in quoting enough or not enough, as not enough for one is too much for another.0 -
you need to read up on variations on the child support site. they will use his basic wage to get normal maintenance but will increase this by using the dividends if you apply for a variation0
