Hi All
Our plan had always been to apply for a mortgage towards the end of this year. We have worked really hard to pay down all our debts and are now very close to where we need to be. However, a job opportunity has come up which is closer to home and pays more. Would me getting a new job prevent a mortgage approval? If so, how long do most lenders require you to be in job prior to application? I have been in employment since university with no gaps for the last 7 years.
Thanks for your help!

Most require you to have passed probation but there are some lenders who don't.0

We've just applied with my oh being in the middle of her 6 month probationary period and there were quite a few lenders that were OK with it as it was a similar role to the previous job and there were no employment gaps (Santander, Skipton, Halifax are just a few off the top of my head, there were a number of others).
When the time comes just go through a decent broker and it shouldn't be a big issue.0 -
As nicky12 said, go through a decent broker. I had a mortgage approved in 2nd month of my probation![STRIKE]Deposit: 25000!!/15000[/STRIKE] Homeowner :j
