much like mortgage applications, loan applications are either a straight accept, a straight decline or they are referred...
...yours has been referred, which means a human will most likely scrutinise it to see why the computer didn't like it...

I Applied to Nationwide about 5pm last night, also signed online, and got the further checks etc etc notification..........money was deposited in my account this morning!0
