Advice on credit card debt & debt due to temp illness from work

Hi
I am posting for a friend who has asked me for advice. She recantily has been bereaved and is not feeling able to contact her debtors herself. She has some credit card debt ( about £2,000 i believe ) but she has been absent from work with depression and although she has returned to work 2 days a week as a trial her income has dropped dramatically and she feels she will no longer be able to keep up her mortgage payments come september. Ideally she says if she could get the interest frozen on the credit card it would mean at least this was being reduced. She has tried citzens advice but they were no use .I was going to suggest the cccs agency on here- but I wasnt sure if this would affect her credit rating ? as this is a short term problem she has until her earnings return to normal again .
Any advice that i could pass on to her especailly of palces to go to tht wouldnt mean she would be blacklisted. thanks x

What she is doing now will effect her credit rating basically if she can't afford both mortgage and credit card payments somewhere along the line her credit rating will be effected.

SHe has to think which feels better, being able to keep her home and pay the mortgage or struggling each month and having a nice credit rating.

Maybe if you both look at the website together, talk it through see how she feels.

At the moment she is paying everything ,but struggling, so has not got any arrears .She just realises that come sptember she will not be able to continue as her wage will drop again as her sick pay will be affected. It just would be good if there could be a temporary solution that would maybe delay certain payments or intereasts. As its such a shame that 42 years of good credit is going to be ruined by what already is a very upsetting time for her , and only temp until she can get back to work in say 6 months. I know she apprecaites any advice you can give as she has never been in this situation before. thanks.
