The Gift Aid system is not designed for non tax payers to tick the box and then pay the bill later. You have to pay tax in order to qualify for tax relief. If you're not a taxpayer, you're not supposed to tick the box at all. If you want the charity to get the extra 25% then donate an extra 25% and don't tick the box.0
