Hi

Can somebody help me with some mortgage advise?

My partner earns £30,000 per annum & I earn £20,000 per annum. We have recently been to see a mortgage advisor that has told us we can have a mortgage for £125,000 this is including are £20,000 deposit. This is purely based on what we earn he hasn't looked into credit history etc...

It just seems low as are friends who earn slightly less where offered £200,000.

    Based on income alone I would say £200-250k.

    However, your age, expenditure, commitments, credit history, circumstances may reduce that.

    £125k seems very low, but if you went in asking for that then he has confirmed you can get it?
