ARGOS TOYS SALE bargains

Why is it odd, surely helps to teach right from wrong and just a toy to play with.
No different to guns, swords or a superhero toys etc.
It just is to me. 3-4 years old seems very young to be thinking about prisons....unless perhaps daddy has gone away for a while and the toy is used to explain where to and why.
I wouldn't have toy guns or swords in my house either though as I don't like the idea of children being desensitised to weapons.
To each their own.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
Thanks just reserved and last three figures at my local store

The store was crowded and I couldn't check every offer on the screen but I think it is worth having a look :T. I've been told that they update their clearance everyday on July so more stock will be reduced.

Was about to post this Bakugan BakuBowl Battle Arena as deal, but seems it's already been posted... I think there is merit in Argos up to it's old sales tricks again.
If you look at the price history of this product on Argos, you can see that they do change the price a lot, but only leave it at the highest price for 2-4 days at a time. It has been as low as 99p for a week, then £7.49, then jumped to £29.97 for 3 days, before being reduced to £2.49 for 3 days. Hope that all makes sense? Does anyone know how long retailers should leave things at full price for, before they can reduce it? I remember a lot of talk about this in the news recently with supermarkets false discounting.
I have just started using Suppose.com to track price of things and it is pretty useful to see the history of prices of products, to get a good idea if the retailers are trying to pull a fast one or not.queenlizard45uk wrote: »How is that a trick?
They haven't made up the original price, it WAS on sale for 29.99 at some point and over the last year has been reduced and reduced - at one point being 1.99.
It would be a trick if it had been on sale for 49p and now they're saying 'grab a bargain its 1.99'
They are stating the original price and price now. No trick.Retro_Bunny wrote: »Argos up to their "sale" tricks again:

Under the pricing practices guide, the length of the new lower price sale should not be longer than the old higher price was available for.
(a) A price used as a basis for comparison should have been your most recent price available for 28 consecutive days or more;
(b) The period of time for which the new (lower) price will be available should not be so long that the comparison becomes misleading. How long this will be will depend on all the circumstances. But as ageneral guideline which could be applied to cases in which there are no specific circumstances which might mean that a longer period would not be misleading, it is suggested that the period of time for which the
new (lower) price will be available should no t be more than that for which the old (higher) price was available; and
(c) Comparisons should not be made with prices last offered more than six months ago.0 -
