Interview help

I would be very grateful for any advice anyone could give me here.
I am currently employed full time. Due to my mother's passing in October last year I have had a considerable amount of time off with depression. I have noticed that because of this some of my co workers are acting strange toward me. Some basically treating me like a leper. I have heard from some people that they have been talking about me when I am not there, I have wanted a new job for some time, mainly because of the distance I have to travel and for a fresh start, but now it is to get away from these back stabbers. It makes me very uncomfortable and it contributes to my depression and having to have time off.
I have applied for a job about 5 minutes away from where I live. I got an interview on 3rd July which I am very happy about but I feel very anxious.
I can write a good application and often get invited for an interview but don't get the job. The last two interviews I had where I didn't get the job I contacted them and asked for feedback. Basically, I don't get the job because my answers are too scant, I don't go into detail enough. Trouble is, I prepare for the interviews and try to decide what I am going to say but in the interview I clam up. When answering their questions, I have to agree that I do give pretty short answers, this is because I am so nervous at interviews and just can't think of a whole lot to say and also because I feel if I carry on talking that they're going to get bored of what I am saying.
I am reading through my application for this job over and over, and it just makes me feel so anxious about the interview.
Does anyone have any advice of tips to do with this? I am pretty desperate to get this job.

Write down prompts to questions you usually get asked on a pad; Not the full answers, but just a couple of words to shift you in the right direction.
Also practice a lot before you go; it does help with the nerves. Stop reading the application over and over - it is doing you no good. Relax, and stop winding yourself up.
Did it have a person specification with the application form? if so, take it in to the interview - I used to give extra points for people who bothered to do it - it will remind you of what you need to demonstrate in the interview, and you can always ask the interviewers whether they would like more depth with the answer.0
