I wouldn't even bother to thank this post (quite apart from the fact I'm unable to thank my own posts, lol:rotfl:) as it's no use whatsoever. But, for completeness sake, I'll report a glitch on Pink Lady apples:

5 items (4 different) on your bill qualify for comparisonASDALogoWhite.gif Sainsbury's
    CheaperSignBlue.gif+£1.43
    2 x ASDA Pink Lady Apples (4)£4.00£5.20

Showing 2 for £3 produce on receipt. I had hoped Sainsbobs would be cheaper (been waiting and waiting for them to go onto 2 for £3. But, no, seems they are more expensive than ever!) Compares vs Waities at £3.90 FWIW. Absolutely useless, as who on earth would want apples for a while, after M's £5 off fruit, veg. & salad?

Hmm... wondering if anything can be put with a pack of Pink Lady apples that might work out better?

(Even then it's still going to be more expensive than £5 of fruit on Morries prices for 40p.) Ignore!;):D

Sainsbobs have also put their price up on Basics Fish Fingers, Basics Chicken Roll, Basics Mixed Vegetables, Basics Cola, Basics Water (both types 2L), Basics Apple Juice, Basics Apple Pies (can you believe that?), Basics Cloths (now 45p:eek::eek::eek::eek:), Basics "Natural" Yoghurt, Basics Cistern Blocks, Basics Lard (45p:eek:, 39p everywhere else that has a 'Value' range), Basics Salted Peanuts have now had another increase (now 70p, 48p elsewhere), Basics Foam Bath (50p Sains., similar range 40p elsewhere), Basics UHT Skimmed Milk (65p Sains., 49p M, T & A), Basics Wholemeal and White Breads, Basics Shower Gel (40p:eek::eek:_pale_). They've even increased the price on the 2-pack Basics Toothbrushes which may catch out Tvs S shoppers:(.

And I'm sure there's a few more than the ones I've mentioned above: that's not even a totally complete list!

In fact I don't know why I'm mentioning "Basics", "Basics", "Basics" all the time as only infecting your mind with the names of their own products. Basically I'd avoid them all. In short, I wouldn't shop at Sains. as they are more expensive than elsewhere and, no, it is not worth paying that much more for the "Sainsbury's quality" in my view. More expensive on your everyday essentials such as bread and UHT milk. Money-savers should certainly avoid.
