Just been to Sainsburys. All the England stuff is priced at 1p - flags, towels, napkins, car flags etc.

When I took a couple of bits to the till it came up as recalled. The guy on the till said that the manager had had a memo to say that it could be taken free of charge with their compliments!

Will put away for the Euros........... :rotfl:

Just got back home from the bank :)
We've had to bank our 'shiny coin box' as the car needs service, mot and tax (this is after it had £400 of tyres a few weeks back) :(
Anyone care to guess how much was in there? :D
We've been throwing change in since 1st December.

'Shiny coin' is any coin that has the shield (or part of it) on it.
Plus any weird and wonderful coins we think are funky (usually special edition £2 coins or 50p coins).
    Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
    Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
    Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

Anyway they have sent me a code for a grocery order valid until October on Tesco.com - its an unusual code with letters and my phone number.
So can I use this with the code on my conditional spend vouchers and other codes (not xx ones) ?

Did you get it from the call centre? I've had ones with mobile number then a letter after from them and it works with any other code I've had.
    Hth.

    Afternoon all!
