Thank you, both doing well, baby got swollen face and bruises, he was a back to back birth but was not waiting around.
Dd wanted to give birth in a unit that they have rather than hospital, she had been there 5 mins when her waters broke and there was a problem so they had to rush her by ambulance to maternity ward. All they keep saying was try and hold on don't give birth in the ambulance  they just about got her off the stretcher and he popped out

Congratulations are you nana or granny ?

Is this your first grandchild :)

The other dilemma I've got is wether to convert all of the CC points we have at the end of this quarter which will pay for a good 80% off the week cruise we have been looking at next year.

This one is early in the year, a ship we have been on before so we are quite happy with it, we get the sitting and table we want and port buses should be covered. and usually we get some sort of small upgrade. Not sure about the OBC yet but that in itself could be a deal breaker.

Or do I just keep saving the CC up - the earliest expiry date I have is August 2015 so in another 12 months I might have maybe 60 or 70% towards a 2 week cruise. So this would give us far more choice.

I don't know how risky this is - there are always rumours circulating about !!!!!! ending the Cc scheme and other cc deals have been restricted or ended and it's getting harder and harder to collect good enough amounts.

About 3 weeks to make up our minds.
when you get near the expiry date you can ask them to reissue. ive done this twice before. I don't know if you still can but all it takes is a phone call to find out.

Wanted to do my jam this afternoon, went to get jars out of the garage and they were stinky and gross so I chucked them. Then i went to Lakeland to get more, not a bad price, but I've just got back and went to wash them, only to find they don't come with lids! I've turned the box over and the words 'lids not included' are in the tiniest writing known to man on the back of the box!! And now the shops are shut!

On the plus side this means I'll be doing cider-making for the first time tonight instead, which should be interesting :D

Ooh, I hadn't thought of cider. Are you using morries apples and which varieties (pls and thanks)?

What a lovely day I've had:) this is how I've spent the last hour in the sunshine. I got whoopsied peas at M and I've just been shelling them.
Out of 5 x 454g bags, I've just weighed 1 kilo of shelled peas which would have cost me £1.50 in A ready frozen:rotfl:

But I love doing stuff like this.

Jam and preserves tomorrow. Used all my coupons today to save the diesel travelling to M tomorrow again
