Afternoon all!
Sorry rhosynbach, I looked but couldn't find anything cheaper than that. I have to ask though, do you have to buy new lids? I've never bothered with new lids, I just use whatever lid comes with the jar, but then it sounds like these jars have been well-used and loved
If you really need to replace the lids, it seems that replacing the jars might be cheaper than buying new lids!
thanks :A the lids have started rusting :eek: was dodgy last year but I cant reuse them this year and dont think they would even seal. i keep thinking jar of lemon curd 22p v lid £2 I think I may just have a clear out and start afresh, put these on freecycle but I do like these jars:o

You might find putting a request on freecycle or keeping an eye on ebay is your best bet. Someone might be having a clearout and not realise how expensive they are new? Got to be worth a try, even if it means using 22p lemon curd ones in the meantime. I have mine in all sorts of random jars, nothing matches, but hey, it all tastes the same in the end0 -

good idea thanks will put them in a box somewhere, and keep my fingers crossed. I never realised they where so expensive I got them as bankrupt stock paid about 50p jar with lid and filled a few and gave as pressies, they have a bee hive and bees on I some shelfs that are built the right size for them:o oh did it for me so looks really posh with the matching jars full:D but as you say they do taste the same out of boring mismatched yucky jars
:rotfl::rotfl:
my boys think I am being a snob and told me to just use the others:p0
