Ooo you have done well. My problem is keeping them both entertained...8 and 3...
I had a free family ticket for a local rspb reserve and we went last weekend, DD loved it, we had a go at pond dipping and she was looking at the charts etc to see what she had found where as little man wanted to go home and kept wandering off, fine when mr monkey is around but not when I'm on my own with them both near the water!!!

My other problem is DD she doesn't get travel sickness as such but we've noticed recently if she's in the car for more than 1/2 an hour she starts to feel "funny" as she calls it...

We have return tickets for the deep in Hull, so that's on my list for a rainy day:) as too is swimming... Although not quite free, DD has lessons so she would be free, I would just have to pay for myself..
We're in South Yorkshire by the way...
Royal armouries has free admission but mr monkeys been and he says they'd be a bit bored...

I know exactly how you feel - I had 3, all close in age so at one stage I had 3 under 5 - the worst stage though was having 3 teenagers :rotfl:
At least 2 of mine were and still are still reckless thrill seekers and I have no idea how I managed to stop either of them killing themselves - they did manage to maim themselves and end up in A & E on odd occasions!

Royal armouries- have a look on their website or ring them to see if they have things like a treasure hunt map for children.

Check your local library to see if they have children's summer activities - might be easier to go and have a look at the notice boards inside.

Travel sickness - ginger ale - the non alcoholic version might be worth trying, ginger is very soothing.
Also try games where you need to look out of the window eg we have a bingo game where you have to see if you can spot all the different supermarket trucks - anything that keeps them looking out of the window and not looking downwards.

I have beans but opening a big tin just for me for the odd occasion when I feel like beans on toast does not seem worth it ..

I've got to go through my stash, or what is left of it and check the expiry dates - another raining day job

Anyone had a problem collecting their direct orders? Got trouted the woman said that HO had send a memo out? opening multiple accounts is fraud? Did not let me have parcels? But how did she know what was in them and how much I paid? Think she was a jobsworth.

Mine are the same age and it's very hard to keep them both occupied.

We bought them a season pass for the big soft play place so we can do that once a week.
I go to a parents group for children with autism and we've decided to go to a different local park each week on June day our group usually meets up so that's another day sorted.

Dd1 enjoys the cinema but dd2 is such a wiggle pants and it's very hard to find a film that she will sit through (unless it's the little mermaid)
