Evening all! Not a choon but something worth watching!

Starts about 1 minute in :beer:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Serves me right for looking for songs on youtube. I was humming this song earlier:D:D.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBapzDRAijk
I did some research about the artist. Apparently they are from Sweden and this was one of the few English language titles on their album from 2007. Perhaps something lost in the translation:rotfl:, from the Swedish point of view.
Just be forewarned - it is very catchy okay. Especially if you happen to be caught around children:D:D:rotfl:. Fortunately I live here in a house without children, way hey!!:D:):j0 -
Just going on (I know, I do go on:p:D;):rotfl:) and now onto this:

About 'The trouble with metaphors'. Of course I never really had much trouble with metaphors, as I read [red] the dictionary - sometimes as if it were a novel, mostly flipping from one part to the other though - when I was quite young and therefore knew what they meant. I suspect that very intelligent man (and we ain't talking social intelligence:o) knows something too, as I notice he has a book on Idioms on the shelf behind him. (Well, not literally behind him, but behind him and to the right:rotfl:, that's if you're not viewing the photo upside-down or in a mirror or something:rotfl::rotfl:.) I bet some of you wouldn't have even noticed that book without me mentioning about it?
With me, I do have occasional difficulty following instructions. It's when what is said has two or more possible meanings. I suspect most people would just see one meaning and carry out that, and generally people aren't aware of possible confusion through there being more than one meaning possible. But me - I see everything. I have most problem when I'm being asked to do two things that appear to be conflicting with each other. (I can't do both - so which do you want?) Normal people just are not consistent and, very often, they are not precise.
I suspect issues over people doing something different to what they were told do arise with people that are not on the autism spectrum as they arise with people on the spectrum. Some of autism is (seen as) a continuum on the line of normal behaviour. The problems I have are not exclusive to autistic people, albeit that I may encounter them a lot more. Most people will tend to take their one interpretation of what something says - whether or not it has two or more meanings - and will do that one interpretation, whether or not that interpretation is correct. In other words, without worrying about it or thinking about or realising there is any ambiguity. And thus no issue arises. But, for me, any ambiguity is always obvious and the issue nearly always arises.
You'll then have, with most people, occasions where they thought it meant one thing and did that only for it to turn out they had interpreted it differently from what was intended and therefore did something other than what was expected. So those situations do arise and 'even' normal people get things wrong. Breakdown in communications between departments etc. It's just I'm very likely, nah almost certain, to see the different possible interpretations and thus be seeking clarification, sometimes to other's annoyance about how often (yet they are always the ones who are not being precise enough!:rotfl:).0 -
I did want to mention this earlier.
Just having some of the Swizzel's Rainbow Drops, that were good fillers against T some time ago, yes I do use all the fillers I buy. I was wondering however how much sugar is in them. I note the packs do not have any 'nutritional information'. They say "SUGAR COATED" (and that's an accurate quoting of the case of the letters btw, not shouting;)) on the front so, presumably it's just the "coat" (or "COAT":D:p) and not much sugar at all. Yet sugar is the first ingredient on the ingredients, so they must have 'quite a lot'. I'm, a way, 'confused':rotfl: because of the use of the expression "SUGAR COATED" (my emphasis) - another example of my literal interpretation I think!:D:rotfl::rotfl:
Anyone - any ideas? The packs are 80g. So, if I just have 10g, is that still about as much sugar as 30 big lumps of sugar or something?
(Surely it should be "sugar-coated" not "sugar coated"? Anyway...:D:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
I notice - I'm using the stick-out tongue quite a lot in the last 24 hours aren't I?:rotfl: Probably not because of any sudden urge to keep sticking my tongue out, but just because it's the 'acceptable' (on here) and appropriate occasions to be doing so!:rotfl::p:p:rotfl::p:rotfl::rotfl:
Perhaps I ought to see my doctor... Er.:rotfl:
:cool:One other thing (what - another?) - I mentioned a few things in relation to Asperger's earlier - some or most of which are good - but it does have things as well such as the 'obsessions' in certain subjects that tends to mean that household tasks get put into second place. And -:eek: whilst I was away, I wasn't sorting out the house! So sometimes I am on here - right now I think! - and ought perhaps be doing the RL house tasks instead. It can be it's problem. But at least it's livable in this house at the moment. Always a constant Forth Bridge painting with the house tasks though - and I suspect to some extent it's like that for everyone.
It gets done - to an extent. I'm not falling under piles of paper or loads of packets of products or anything - I can walk free passage throughout the house and not like Obsessive Hoarders - one man had newspapers just piled up and up - literally no room in the house and extremely dangerous. But there is that aspect to Asperger's that I'm mentioning!
Alright, see you soon, and I'll try and clear 'one or two' things up, on each of two days, rather than necessarily clear all four up at once that, in an ideal world, would be done - just thinking if there's anything I need to do with the new month - such as transferring stuff around bank accounts and, in the process, sorting out that pile of bank letters on the floor in this room. But at least it is just a single pile, with everything in it that needs to be done, rather than fifty piles at various places across the room!:)
(I've now undermined this - for those that just read the last post and don't go back earlier - so I'll link back to it:

And this version of the song is supposed to be "clean"?!? Can anyone else hear "I'm a effing do it" near the beginning of the song? (Well, obviously not that, the euphemism, but you know...) It's still there isn't it, in some way? Or maybe - is it just how I hear it?*
[Edit - sorry, forgot the link - here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMyXK1g7rAU] (Unsuitable for "any places in which it is felt to be unsuitable" or, worse, anywhere where it causes anyone emotional offence.)
I suspect I ought to link to the original version for comparison, but I'm sure those that specifically want to find that can do so on youtube itself.
Right - I think I might leave you with something totally different (and 'clean'):

Wish people won't post comments onto videos that leave me questioning whether I should link to them! Had to change that link to this other edition of the video. (Then again, probably only me that sees or reads any of the comments:rotfl:. And I'm sure the comment I saw was far more benign than anything you are now thinking. Just that the band 'stank' that's all! But do we really want to read that? I didn't - so I flipped it to a new link.)
Edit: How annoying is that song in the first link (now listening about two minutes in)? Think I'd rather prefer the other version.
Instead, let's pretend this post relates to money-saving and say don't waste your money on that rubbish! IMO.
*I suppose some will say "Well, not as dirty as that song you linked to earlier Savvy!". But I like "dirty songs". Anyway, that previous song wasn't "dirty" - it was rather beautiful IMO.0 -
