when to retain a solicitor

Hi we are going into our broker on Friday to officially apply for our right to buy mortgage, would it be wise to get a solicitor now or do i wait until we have an offer of a mortgage, we have a short space of time once we have recieved our valuation which we have had, to complete.
However, I don't want to pay out for a solicitor before i know we can get a mortgage if that makes sense.

Nothing wrong with selecting one now, just tell them not to incur any costs until you've had your mortgage offer.0

Might be worth waiting as some lenders only allow firms to be used on their panel.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 0650
