Porting Mortgage question

I have a mortgage ready to port to the property I am buying, but the house I am buying is hitting a snag. The mortgage offer is good for another 4 months, if I decide that the house I was intending to buy is no longer worth the hassle/risk, will there be a problem if I speak to my lender to port to a different property? All criteria will be the same, it'll just be a different address. I know people will say "speak to your lender" but I just wanted to get an idea of whether it is at all possible?
Thanks.

Technically, it is not a problem.
Obviously the new property and lending will be considered by your Lender.I am a Mortgage Broker

I did this with Nationwide and it was treated as a fresh application, although it went through on the second house very quickly!0
