Question re:starting new job in notice period

I am a TA working term time. I have been looking for a new job and so my employer could recruit a new TA, I handed my notice in with an end date of 31st August. I have found a job and they want me to start at end of July- Ill be able to work flexible hours over summer holidays.
Can I still be paid until 31st August from my school - I'll be working reduced hours and therefore lot less money at new job until I'm doing usual hours after summer holidays.
Thanks

Most TAs are on term-time only contracts, so don't get paid for the school hols. The pay you get in August is what you're owed for hours already worked during the academic year as, instead of paying you for hours worked each month, they divide the total for the year (39 or 40 weeks plus stat hol pay) by 12 and pay this amount each month.
Check with your school, but I doubt there'll be a problem. After all, teachers changing schools are technically employed at the old school until end of August but often start working at/new school over the summer.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
