    It depends entirely on your credit history and whether you fall into the 51% or more of accepted applicants who get it.

    Makes it more unlikely you will get the headline rate, or even accepted, in that case, as you already have debts.

    Back in my Lloyds days we used to all say that the best loan rates are allocated to customers that dont need a loan LOL

    These days 51% of applicants accepted will get the best rate, but hypothetically, if a company rejects 3 out of 4 applicants, then you have a 1 in 8 chance of being accepted at the best rate.
