Upgrade games possible?

Hi I've heard that it is possible to upgrade my xbox 360 Battlefield 4 game to an xbox one version of the same game by only paying £10 when handing over the 360 version.
Is this correct and if so which retailers would do this upgrade?
Many thanks

no idea where you heard this but it is pretty much 100% incorrect and rubbish, whoever told you it.
edit: sorry, i misinterpreted your post. but you did say upgrade. that's the wrong context. exchange the game for the xbox one version would have been correct.
i thought you mean't pay £10 to magically upgrade the disc to be the xbox one game that will somehow still work in the xbox 360 with the quality of the xbox one.
after all that's what upgrade means, pretty much! lol.0 -
There were a few retailers offering something like this back in December, long gone now though.0

My friend got this deal back when the Xbox One had just recently launched. It was for people that were upgrading to the newly released console and very much a promo for it with certain retailers.
Don't think anyone does it anymore though. All your base are belong to us.0 -
Sorry it was an exchange and it's my son owner of a new xbox one who said such an exchange was possible.
Was worth asking thanks for your quick replies all0 -
Can you do this digitally? The PS4 had a upgrade scheme when it launched so if for instance you'd bought Battlefield 4 for the PS3, you could go on PSN, put the disk in when it prompts you and pay for the upgrade.
Not sure if Xbox had a similar thing going.0 -
Although I don't think you can do this anymore, you can still use this trade-in scheme to get SOME money off the new version of the game.
It depends on whether you want a brand new copy of Battlefield 4 for Xbox One, or don't mind a preowned one. If you take your 360 version to Game, they'll either pay you £4.90 for it in cash, or give you £7 to spend in their store. So go for the £7 amount, and then buy either the preowned (£29) or new (£34) copy of the game on the Xbone.
CEX are doing a similar exchange - They'll give you £8 in cash or £10 in credit for your 360 copy, but they only sell preowned copies of the Xbone version for £30. If you don't mind prowned, CEX is the way to go0
