HI guys
I am doing an online test. I need to know how to work out percentage increases and decreases? I was under the impression the formula was:
new number - initial number / initial number x 100.
Heres a practice test below. I hope someone can answer it and show me how they did it. Thanks

I get 161%
Original sales for that product were 44. This years sales were 115.
115/44 X100 = 261% of the original.
Therefore *increase* is 261-100 = 161%.
Method number 2 would be 115-44 =71. 71/44X100 =161%.0 -
new number - initial number / initial number x 100.
should be
(New number - Initial number) / Initial number x 100 == N/I * 100 - 100
