Waiting is breaking me!

Hey everyone,
My OH and I applied for an AIP this week, got it and now I am surprised at how much I am stressing out waiting for valuation and the actual mortgage application to go through!
We moved to England 5 years ago from Ireland, and apart from a spell where our cards were maxed out, and a small loan of 2.5k all paying towards getting further training for my job we've tried to be good!
We've paid off the loan and cards and have been saving for the last 2 years, our credit history is a bit limited as haven't been here long. No late or missed payments.
The rate we were given was 5.49%, LTV 94%, but monthly repayment is 200 under our current rent, and will be saving about 250/month on fuel costs. Mortgage broker seemed very positive, but I am now going loopy worrying that the actual hard mortgage application will be a big fat NO since in their eyes just under 3 years ago we were struggling for money living month to month, even though our wages have gone up by 12k since between us. We answered all the questions truthfully, how likely is it that we will fall at the last hurdle?
Appreciate any comments!

Hi, I can't answer your questions, but I had the same worries a few months ago and the help and support on here is great. We got our mortgage at 4.74%, 84% LTV, despite some adverse credit. I know things have changed since the MMR, but people on here are great.
Sit tight, don't stress too much if possible and I will keep fingers crossed for you.

hi , I can only go on my own experience, waiting is a killer , im just waiting on solicitor doing there stuff to complete but waiting for the mortgage offer was horrendous , my broker told me as long as you gave all the information accurate and truthful then its just a matter of proving what you have said,0

Chill. What will be will be!
If you've been completely honest and told them everything, the house is acceptable to them, underwriting should be fine.0
