Tesco interview

Hi Does anyone know if Tesco usually inform you if you have been unsuccessful at interview? Had mine nearly a fortnight ago for a job on checkouts and still not heard anything.....

I had an interview at a Tesco near me on Thursday afternoon, got invited to a work sample today and then was given my official hours for the job. It may be different in other Tescos but it can't hurt to call and ask and see if there's any feedback also if you were unsuccessful

I always got a reply back so seems unusual. I applied in the past a couple of times but they told me I was unsuccessful. You might need to push it. Say you have another job lined up but you particularly want to work for Tesco's. Might work or might not.

Hi dp1, sorry to hear that you haven’t heard back from Tesco’s yet. It’s probably worth getting in touch with them to check if they’ve made a decision yet.

Thanks for replies. I rang yesterday and they said they haven't finished recruiting yet and I should hear back soon......

Well when I applied it was a while ago and when they actually called me for the interview they said "has anybody contacted you regarding an interview?" so they must have meant to ages ago but hadn't, other people who got jobs had their interview a while ago so maybe that's what's happening here. Hope you got it! So far they seem quite good to work for and the pay is better than any other store job i've had!
