I was just wondering which own brands version of Innocent's Mango & Passion fruit Smoothie everyone thinks is the best?
Asda do one, Morrisons etc for a fraction of the price of Innocent's version so just wondered if there is a chance to save some pennies?

Do what I did and get your own smoothie maker
I have saved a fortune by making my own :T0 -
have you seen the ingredients list of an innocent smoothie - how can they get away with calling it mango & passion fruit ?
Biggest ingredients are the cheapest - apple ,bannana & orange before you get to the mango & passion fruit. As torbrex says -just buy the raw ingredients and stick them in a blender0 -
I would make my own but I struggle to cut the stone/pip out of the Mango's, I know most people do but I also have mobility problems.
I suppose I can buy Mango chunks already sliced but would than I really be saving any money as you are buying for someone's labour for less Mango?0 -
You can buy canned mango for 80p in sainsburys, 89p in m&s, if you do want to make your own and have problems with an actual mango whats the problem? Wouldn't it be worth it for your own comfort?
Also tesco do frozen chunks, which is Good for a smootie because it would be instantly cold.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Do I use milk or apple juice for the base to get it like a smoothie like Innocents?0 -
No milk, use Apple juice, or if your being really strict, water, the mango will thicken it.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

but as others have said the tinned stuff is good as well.
I am not adverse to using carrot juice as a base liquid, its all a matter of experimentation0 -
I have started making my own smoothies too, mainly because I like melon and I don't see any commercial melon smoothies. However, my OH loves the innocent banana and coconut smoothie. Most own brands he doesn't like (I can also tell the difference in them) but he said Sainsburys own was good, not sure if they do mango and passion fruit but worth a look.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I agree that making your own is the way to go. Aldi also do a nice range of frozen fruit, they have all sorts of berries, pineapple, and mango pieces as well as a reasonable selection of tinned staples like peaches and mandarins. The sainsburys tinned mango is great, I find by the time you have faffed about with a fresh mango there is less fruit than in the tin.Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A
