Will i get it????

Hi all,

First time poster/first time buyer!!
Been reading on here quite a lot and its all been great advice so heres my problem.

Single 32 years old male FTB have been looking for six months now and just put an offer in for a fixed price (75000) 2 bed flat in the highlands which has been accepted! Got an AIP from northern rock for 100%. Salary is 18500pa tho i luckily have a company car/expense account/free mobile phone. (do they take this into account??)
My current unsecured debt is £6500 paying off at £270pm so two years to go!!
I got credit files from equifax & experian and i have two defaulted accounts from 5 years ago before i started this job. They were only for £580 in total and were satisfied almost immediatly after i got first wage.
Iam just really worried that mortgage will be refused! Iam currently renting at £520pm and high bills etc. New place will be half of current council tax, cheaper heating etc.
Just waiting on survey arriving at NR now before i get decision. How long will this take?? The waiting is MURDER!!!

Thanks

Your mortgage application is credit scored at AIP stage, if the defaults were an issue they wouldn't have agreed it in principle. They also wouldn't instruct the valuation at this point if they were going to turn you down as they normally sign the case off with the underwriters before instructing it. Relax.
