My house was disgusting when I moved in..

Bottle of bleach tipped on the kitchen floor and mopped off.. that took 4 bottles of bleach and 3 mops.. I eventually tiled over the terracotta tile floor it was so dirty!

ALL paintwork and walls.. Sugar soap and a yard brush/scrubbing brush..

Naked treated wood (hand rails on the stairs) Was cleaned with meths.. make sure it is well ventilated, we were all *high* for a week lol.

    Carpets were simply binned

Curtains were taken down, washed and some dyed and rehung.

Microfibre cloths, scrubby sponges and several buckets and bottles of bleach .. I redecorated ASAP.. cheap tubs of white paint are a waste of money.. we got the B&Q own one in the rectangle tub.. that is like spreading cheese, it covers from naked plaster in 3-4 coats (I just did my kitchen ceiling about an hour ago) and is pretty cheap.

Our house was so dirty, that we didn't let the kids see it in either viewing.

The owner was a pharmacist, too.
