Mortgage offer & student loan

Hi peeps,
My lender will not approve my mortgage offer until my student loan is paid off in full - no problem there, all paid off (today) However the problem is getting a final statement from the student loan company to prove this to the lender. The student company is saying it can take up to 3 weeks to get this ( despite taking money straight away) and the mortgage company will only keep my case open for 10 days!!! Anybody out there got only experience of this and in particular doing battle with the student loan company? Comments gratefully received! :)

  • For my student loan I can log on and see the balance remaining.

Could you provide them with this as a pdf to demonstrate that you have now paid it off?
