Back in a mess again

I have managed to get myself back in a mess again. I had all my cc debts paid off for me. I then made the mistake of not closing the accounts. To cut a long story short, I got really depressed and hit the shops and the internet. I now owe almost £10000 over 3 cards.

So far I have sold a couple of things and got £20 for them. I don't know whether to pay it off one of the cards or put it the bank to live on.

My house is still on the market and my mortgage holiday has finished.

I am sat here crying because I don't know what to do.

Oh no. I remember you only cleared your debts 1 or 2 months ago. What did you buy for £10,000!!?! Surely you can get a refund for more stuff?

The grief over your hubby is still there and you have to find another outlet other than money. Have you had counselling?

Start with a SOA to show your income and outgoings.

It can be sorted out but it won't be quick and it won't be easy.

Think about contacting one of the debt charities like step change or Christians against poverty for some help.

DO NOT DEFAULT ON YOUR MORTGAGE - that is essential spending!

Don't cry and despair there are lots of smart people on here who will help you as well, you are not alone.

My massive debts started with post-natal depression, I bought 6 prams, so I do know how it feels.

BMG, have you unpacked the white goods? Do you actually need them? If not then send them back.

Ask if you can cancel the holiday. Maybe worth it if you only lose a little money.

If you still have reciepts and boxes for the shoes and clothes, send them back. Even if yoy have to pay p&p. Only resort to ebay if you're unable to get a full refund.

The white goods have been in use. They took the old ones away. The holiday is in 10 days time. The reality of it all has only justed kicking in

I have worn the clothes and they have been washed and ironed.

    Sorry to hear this BMG.
You`ve had a lot going on and it must be very hard for you right now.

Do you have friends and family you can talk too?
Would you feel comfortable seeing your GP about how your feeling?

I would cut up them cards!
I am one to spend if I`m feeling down hence me being back on the debtfree journey after already becoming debtfree.
    Your not alone.

On 18th May you said you were debt free. Now, I'm a pretty extravagent person myself but even I would be hard pushed to spend £10,000 in one month. I read through your previous threads and was initially sympathetic but I really do think you need some serious counselling - and not just about your debts.

OP, sounds like you have serious mental health issues and I think you need to seek help asap before things get much worse. Your problem is not financial, it's much deeper than that.
